This course, ‘Designing Productive Meetings and Events, (DPM&E)” has 2 functions (at least) in the Gaia U system.

The first function is to provide us with a suite of simple tools and approaches that can be used to better the quality of a wide range of human-to-human communications. In this respect, the DPM&E course is a stand-alone event that provides rapidly usable theory and practice. You can expect (very) good results from this.

However, these tools have their limits, especially when people get caught up in strong emotions. Working constructively in these conditions requires that we facilitators and organizers have developed an advanced level of emotional competence of our own and can assist our associates to advance their own too.

This is the second function. The DPM&E course uses tools developed by the Re-evaluation Counseling (RC) Community. These tools are a critical foundation for the deep process journeys we take as members of the RC Community into the origins of emotions and feelings and how to deal with them. Thus the DPM&E course functions as a prerequisite for and an introduction to a 2 part follow-up Re-evaluation Counseling Fundamentals Course.

Regarding the second function, the DPM&E course uses tools developed by the Re-evaluation Counseling Community and therefore functions as a prerequisite for and an introduction to a 2 part, follow-up, Re-evaluation Counseling Fundamentals Course.

Beyond the courses lies an ongoing RC Online Community that includes more classes, support groups, and other events. Learning and practicing RC is a life-long learning and unlearning journey and we are delighted to walk this path with you.

Here is how we described this progression on the landing page for the DPM&E course: –

The DPM&E training introduces tools derived from Re-Evaluation Counseling (RC) and provides practice time using these tools. We offer it as a stand-alone module to increase access (for organizers), flexibility, and affordability. It is a prerequisite for joining the RC training and includes an introduction to RC.
