Saba Zahara is a distinguished leader in the fields of creative arts, cultural advocacy, and social impact communications, including digital marketing for social change. Her diverse background spans visual and performing arts, the green sector, social entrepreneurship, campaign strategy and management, thought leadership, and media development. She has successfully collaborated with both local and international organizations to empower marginalized communities through innovative and transformative projects.

She holds an MBA in Humanitarian Social Entrepreneurship from the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) in Switzerland. This formal training complements her extensive practical experience and equips her with valuable insights into humanitarian and entrepreneurial strategies. She is particularly passionate about exploring innovation opportunities at the intersection of sustainability, healing, creativity, and cultural arts for social transformation.

Saba currently participates in the online Artist and Curator-in-Residence initiative led by Create 2030 and the Arts & Culture Working Group, which promote sustainable solutions within the creative economy. These initiatives provide artist development and management services, collaborating with leading UN and NGO agencies on live performances, creative workshops, professional development, and partnerships.

She serves as a Board Council Member for the Artscape Theatre Centre, appointed by the South African Department of Arts and Culture. She has also volunteered as a strategic communications advisor to the V20 South Africa, a global community of values-driven experts engaging with the Group of Twenty (G20). This network produces high-impact policies and recommendations presented annually to G20 Heads of State.

Recently, she supported the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa with film research on high-level leaders in Cape Town for their Sustainability Documentary Series. As a volunteer for Voices of Biodiversity and a member of the Ecoversities network, Saba continues to weave her storytelling and advocacy into global learning communities.

She has led digital marketing and communications strategies for a variety of clients and movements that have garnered media attention both locally and internationally. Her work includes multimedia coordination and strategy development for advocacy campaigns. Saba also founded the HoneyBush Healing Arts Platform, which engages children and communities in public art. As a community arts facilitator, she is part of the Butterfly Art’s Project network.

Saba was recently accepted into a Master’s in Integrative Ecosocial Design (IESD) at Gaia U International, as one of the first recipients of the Liora Adler Scholarship Fund—an opportunity she holds with deep gratitude.

Her passion for environmental conservation and indigenous knowledge systems informs her holistic approach to creating meaningful social impact. Through her roles in strategic communication, digital activism, and media development, she continues to advocate for justice across sectors such as broadcasting, agroecology, heritage, travel, technology, policy, journalism, green industries, event management, tourism, and content production.

Yet, beneath all these titles and achievements, Saba’s deepest longing is simple: self-healing—and the capacity to help others heal by co-creating a nature-based sanctuary.
